In this new series of UNLAWYERLY, Ramin introduces the series on Relationships and how some core relationships are one that transforms us but many struggle with.

00:01
So, this next series of unlawarly is going to focus on something completely different from serious. Number one, Series number one focused on why I left big law and retired at age 36. And it really went into a lot of things that people douche juggle and also struggle with work-life balance.

00:24
You know, the ego deciding how to define success Series number two, I wanted to move away from from that aspect of it, and focus on the relationships that we encounter and the relationships that ultimately shape and transform us through our lives. Now, there's a lot of relationships that we could have talked about and highlighted.

00:49
Now, obviously there's a relationship with family, parents children, spouses relationship with friends colleagues associates. But what I wanted to do is, is really just focus on what I consider the core sets of relationships that mainly anybody will encounter. And of course, it's given through my perspective, my lens. And it's about my experiences.

01:19
But when I do reflect, and when I do talk, it has a lot of universal themes and commonalities. The first episode focuses on relationship with your parents and this relationship in my opinion, really sets the tone and starts the building blocks for the next relationship that will come into your life.

01:45
Now, I do feel that a lot of, these relationships are, in fact, building blocks of one, another, but we will talk about parents. We'll talk about relationship with children. We'll talk about relationship with your significant other and then we'll conclude with relationship with the self. Now, do you need to listen to all of these episodes in order?

02:06
Not necessarily, I will reference one or two or three things from one of the other episodes, as I'm going through each episode, but you can do them in any order that you want. But I think what you'll notice is that at the end of it, there is a commonality and a common denominator and know the common nominate denominator is not just you, but there is things that are surrounding those relationships that ultimately get you from one point to another.

02:39
Now the relationship on significant others. That's broken up into two parts. A lot of people have ass and have questions surrounding, you know, finding your spouse, what ultimately you need to do to, to get to that point. Now I'm likely not going to be answering everybody's questions, everybody's questions are very unique in their own but I've done is shared my own experiences with what got me to that point where I ultimately met my wife and we proposed.

03:10
And now, we've been married for for some time with four kids, but I try to give a lot of the journey that came along with it, to lead me to the point where I realized I wanted to take the next step with someone. And I think I'll be surprising with how much little time there was when I met my wife and when I ultimately proposed to her, Anyway I hope you all get something out of this and I hope you're able to relate with with your own life, as I've said, I've tried to make it as universal and made the themes, very common to a lot of people but they are based on my experiences in my perspective.
